I would have to say that my favorite emulator so far has to be gpsp 0.8 which is a Gameboy advance emulator. this thing runs games at great speeds and has fairly good compatability along with suport for game saves in the games that support it.

As far as total compatability with all games, I like the NES emulator and the TurboGrafx 16 emu. I have yet to find a game that does not work perfectly on either of these emus. I know there are others that have almost 100% compatability, but these two are my favorites. The SNES emu would be my favorite, but it does not play all my games at 100% yet. I have not seen much upgrades to that emu lately.

P.S. I actually used to own a TG-16 back in the day!

Which one are you using I'm using Nesterj 1.2beta2 and I can't play contra or any of the hacked Super Mario games. I'll admit just about everything else seems to work that I've tried. Super contra works fine. the regular Contra just freezes the psp until it cuts the power off.

I am using NesterJ v1.11. But I do not think the version of the emu is the problem. It may be the version of the rom itself or it could be corrupted.
I just got done booting up Contra on my emu and it fired up and played fine. I have not tried the hacked Marios on my PSP yet.

For some reason there are like 15 different versions of roms for every game out there. Try to look for the "Goodnes" roms. Those are supposed to be the most compatible for emus in general. If I am allowed to, I can post the rom as an attachment if you want. But I am sure you have your connections for these things anyway....

I am really liking the concept behind DAX Ziso loader, very cool the size it can compress the iso's to, but there are still alot of iso's that will not even load when compressed. I have been messing with the compression with DevHook and it is getting better. I have to say, Snes_9xtyl 4.2 is just about perfect, I can run about 80% of the snes games at full speed, full screen, including the elusive super mario world...now to get the donkey kong country trilogy working...
