Post subject: Idea for next version of PSP Installer Deluxe

Hey everyone

Now I know I havent released PSP Installer Deluxe for quite some time now, this is mainly because PSP Pandora Deluxe has taken up most of my interest / time.

However, I have an idea for the next version...

What I am thinking about doing is writing an Application (similar to PSP Pandora Deluxe) take care of installing all the programs in it, instead of using the normal NSIS installer script to do so. This will allow me to create the custom config files needed for the CFW (vsh.txt, game.txt, pops.txt etc).

The one downside is it will require .NET Framework 2.0 installed.

Could I have some feedback on this please...

The only prerequisite would be the .NET Framework v2, which apparetnly already comes default with Vista, XP it has to be installed though.

I've already made a start on it, and so far its looking good. I've got a LOT of work to go on it though, and now that I'm moving house too I'm wont have as much time / inspiration to do a hell of a lot.

However I'm thinking about giving PPD a facelift for v3.0 too, adding a status log on what has been done in the installation (easy for noobs just to copy/paste it so we can see what went wrong).

I don't know how long it will be until the next version is complete as DJB has been busy but when it is released it will be in the forums as well as on front page.

You can find the latest version here: http://www.psp-hq.com/postt343.html

Just so people dont get confused, this is the program I would be updating with the new interface:

http://www.psp-hq.com/postt229.html

PSP Pandora Deluxe is a seperate progarm, mainly designed to quickly set up a Memory Stick for the Pandora setup. PSP Installer Deluxe contains more applications and emulators etc.
