Launch eboots Straight from XMB Published by hq_hacker_girl on 2009-08-06 Category: Tutorials | Page Views: 143
A guy over at Qj.net (theketchupman) has made a nifty plugin pack. You can launch eboots from the XMB. The only catch is that you must sacrafice the use of something such as the Network Update or Location Free Player.
To do this:
Get his pack from here.
In his pack, he has included some text files in ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM. These are the prx's you can replace. They are Location Free Player (lftv), Camera (camera), Online Manuals (htmlviewer), PS3 Remote (premo), Certificate Utility (licence), and Network Update (update).
Select which one you want to replace (If you do not want to replace one, do NOT put it in the folder.) and copy the .txt file to ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM.
Open up the text file and type in the EXACT location of the eboot you want to launch. Remember, it is case sensative.
Save the file and disconnect your PSP.
Reboot in Recovery mode and access the Flash0.
To go into Recovery mode, Hard boot your PSP and hold down R.
To access the Flash0 hit Advanced>enable Flash0
From the folder (in the pack you downloaded) v0.3f, find the prx you want to replace and put it into f0:/vsh/nodule. MAKE SURE YOU BACKUP YOUR FILES!!
Disable the Flash access and go to your XMB and test out your new shortcut. If all goes right, you should be able to load your homebrew.
There is real not super big point to doing this except for novality reasons or to replace useless icons.
